Patio Contractor Nampa, Idaho
A patio can become your backyard retreat from life. But, a poorly designed and/or constructed patio will leave you wishing for something better. And that’s why you shouldn’t just try anyone to handle your patio needs.
Most patios are covered using some sort of paving material like concrete or pavers. But other materials can be used too included wood, tiles, stones, acrylic, epoxy, and even glass. Concrete is one of the most popular options due to its low cost and its customizability. Using coloring dyes, you can easily change the color of concrete. And using design templates, it’s extremely easy to create unique, one-off patterns that can’t be replicated. But a customized patio is much more than just a flooring. In fact, a lot of patios are incorporating elements such as built-in grills and hot tubs with cascading water falls and foliage. This is called hardscaping and it’s becoming more popular, especially as homeowners look to increase the value of their homes. Is this something you’ve been thinking about? If so, we can help. We can design your patio in any number of ways. However, most homeowners choose to use pavers due to their unique look and durability. They don’t require a lot of maintenance and they look “classy” when compared to poured concrete. Even so, we’re not locked into pavers. If you want to use another material, we’ll definitely work with. Here’s the deal … we want to create the perfect backyard retreat for you. If you can dream it, we can build it. We can use almost any material, any texture, and any color to create the perfect patio for your home. While our name says masonry and concrete, we can do a LOT more than just pour concrete. Here’s some more information for you to consider before you build your next patio… Concrete – This is one of the most common materials used in patio designs. It’s extremely inexpensive and durable, with the ability to be colored using special dyes. Plus, designs can be stamped into it using specialized design templates (which adds to the cost). Colored concrete can fade over time, meaning you’ll need to reapply the coloring after a few years. Plus, concrete has a tendency of developing cracks from the weather (i.e. hot, cold). Brick – This is another popular material used in patio designs. Brick can be used to give a unique, classy look to an otherwise boring patio. With multiple coloring options and sizes, it’s fairly easy to create a look that will stand out. However, brick is porous so it holds water. In colder climates, this can lead to cracking. If you don’t keep the bricks clean, the water can develop mold which can become extremely slippery. Natural Stones – And finally, you can use natural stones to really add a unique look to your patio. There are a TON of stone options to work with including Limestone, Bluestone, and even Travertine. Natural stones cost more (sometimes a lot more) but they add a level of character and sophistication that can be matched by other materials. |
